Our Philosophy
At Little Creatures Nature School, we believe that every child is a unique creation, deeply loved by God and born with an innate sense of wonder. We are rooted in the conviction that learning happens best when children feel safe, seen, and free to explore the world around them.
Our program is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, where children are viewed as capable, curious, and full of potential. We nurture their natural love of learning through open-ended play, seasonal rhythms, storytelling, and hands-on exploration in nature.
We believe the outdoors is not just a backdrop but a living classroom—a place where God's creation speaks, teaches, and invites us to slow down and be present. Through regular time in local parks, trails, and nature preserves, children develop a deep connection with the earth, their peers, and their Creator.
Our role as educators is to guide, observe, and walk alongside children as they discover, question, and grow. We provide gentle structure, meaningful provocations, and space for spiritual and social-emotional development.
At Little Creatures, we strive to cultivate a community that honors childhood, supports family life, and builds a foundation of confidence, compassion, and creativity—nurturing hearts and minds for a lifelong journey of learning and faith.
